Sturdy & Well built
I've been looking around online for a while for a quality built to last old fashion ice cream freezer and this unit is just what I was looking for. Nothing on this unit is under-engineered or under built. Other than the well built and sturdy lid, all of the other linkages, gears, etc. are heavy duty solid metal construction. The banding on the oak drum staves has some adjustment so when the day comes the wood dries out or shrinks some I can tighten them back up. It's not a low-cost unit, but you pay for quality. It also comes with a nice booklet with 4 or 5 pages of ice cream, sherbert, and mousse.

Well constructed quality ice cream freezer
Have searched and searched for a well made ice cream freezer that will stand the test of time and multiple batches of homemade ice cream for my large family. Found it! The oak barrel staves are thick and tightly constructed--no leaking. The motor is heavy duty. The ice-cream paddle is solid. The plastic lid is quite thick and durable. A little plastic sluffed off from the hole in lid on the first batch when I removed it from the canister. But nothing sluffed off the second use.

Quality!
I felt frivolous spending this much money on a drainboard for my dishrack but when I opened it, I am so happy I did! This is made very well, heavy duty and large. I have only had it a few weeks but use it daily for dishes (no dishwasher and I cook from scratch daily) and have also used it twice for prepping raw meats. It definitely will pass the test of time...decades and decades. I would give it a 10 star if I could.
I also purchased the Daisy dishrack along with the drainboard. The dishrack is outsourced and made in China to Homeplace specifications. It is large and roomy for a full load of dishes, mixing bowls, pots pans. The utensil drainer has two sections and is large also. It is a hard black plastic; I would have preferred it to be stainless.
I do have suggestions for the dishrack though... the utensil drainer does not have drain holes on the very bottom, it dries 'ok' but water does pool in there. I have to be careful to make sure my hands and the utensils drip off some after rinsing them before putting them in. I do not suggest using the method of putting all utensils in then rinsing all at once. A stainless utensil drainer would be better.
The rack portion that is flat (not the plate standing area) has a little too much space between the wires...fine for lining things up such as pot covers etc., but small items fall through and things like a spout lip on a measuring cup gets caught up between them. I feel a portion of that area could benefit from a grid pattern.
The feet on the rack are set into black hard plastic caps/cups...the caps are open on the top allowing drips and debris to puddle in them. They do pull off but over time I know they will eventually break/crack. All in all, it is a nice dishrack, I would give that only 3 stars at this time...maybe less as time goes on. If changes were made, I would give it a 5 star....plus I would have been willing to pay a little more for it.
Delivery was timely, it was well packaged. The drain board comes with 8 clear stick-on silicone feet to protect the counter that I could not find after digging through all the packing paper in the box twice... finally found them in a bottom corner of the box, hiding.

Surprised by the size
Being “fine” ice cream salt. I was curious how it would work compared to thick salt or “ice cream salt”. I just made a batch of Vanilla without this product. And it took longer for the ice cream to freeze. I will need to get another bag. For the batches I made with the “Fine” salt froze very quickly. I like how the ration. For salt/ice is placed on the packet viably!

Two Spoons with Two Uses!
So, the spoon works fantastically for dishing out ice cream without coating my hand and arm with sticky. Yay!
AND, years ago, our children were in Joy School (parent- sharing preschool), we had a lesson on serving others. I tied a splint on one elbow and handed each child a spoon and a bowl of ice cream. Each one tried and tried to eat the ice cream but couldn't get the spoon anywhere close to his/her mouth. When one of them figured out that she could feed her friend and her friend could feed her, they were ecstatic! No more need for a splints—these spoons are perfect for that activity! Thank you!

I love that the dasher moves two ways. Scrapers and. Mixer. Heavy built. I can make 6 qts 27 mins faster than 4 qts simple standard machine that was my go to. And reliable to an extent.
