Franklin Square Reviews
Rating 4.09 out of 5 58 reviews
Rating 3 out of 5
This town has homes that people take pride in keeping pretty but Hempstead Tpke has a bunch of bordered up and washed out businesses. The people here are incredibly ignorant and oftentimes racist which doesn’t lend to a positive experience. Lots of Trump die-hards in this town. The town Facebook page is filled with a myriad of people begging for attention by complaining about nonsense or posting things that could just as easily remain on their own personal page. The schools are good and it’s close enough to JFK airport and major highways. If you’re of Italian descent and politically conservative, you’ll be fine. If not, you’re better off someplace else.

Since moving to Franklin Square I've felt very safe and welcomed into the neighborhood. It's very peaceful and quiet

The community all knows each other, which comes as both a positive and a negative. Gossip flies within Franklin Square, especially within the FS Facebook group, where parents enjoy complaining about companies or traffic jams, everyone knows anyone's business. On the brighter side, knowing your community makes it feel safer to live in Franklin Square, as you know who to trust and avoid.
