Rifts are a progression mechanic in Legends of IdleOn: The Idle Game MMO that provides intense bonuses and encourages the battle progression of multiple characters. It’s a somewhat always there location to return to no matter how far your progression in the game is and allows for exponential bonuses to existing mechanics. The very first bonus, auto traps, for instance removes the need to manually check your traps.
To unlock the Rift you’ll need to get to World 4. Specifically, you’re looking for the Octodar map (The Untraveled Octopath), labeled with the NPC “Rift Ripper.” Before you continue, you’ll want to note that while the first quest is doable by anyone, the rift itself is best suited for Mages who can respawn enemies, like the Bubo. You’ll run into some rifts that a Mage won’t work on, but all in and all a Mage will do best in the rift.
Entering the Rift
So for this quest you’re going to need 5 lost batteries (W4 – TV) and this is going to be your biggest grind. I had around 10 and I’m really really really far into World 5, but I also make 1-2 every few hours of idling there on the map. You’ll want to farm TVs early and often on new accounts to get the Rift open asap.
It also needs 878 Purple Mush Cap (W4 – Purple Mush) and 592 Wurm Tails (W4 – Flying Worm). These are easy to snag. Return to the Rift Ripper when done. When you turn the quest in, you’ll have a new area on the W4 map in the top right corner for the rift.
Rift 1 and Beyond
You’ll enter Rift 1 and approach a rift, which will grant you an assignment – defeat 500 enemies in five minutes. This is a rolling target, so after five minutes the progress timer will count down; it’s not like a quest. It’s just 500 in the last five minutes. Then you’ll be in Rift 2, which will have another objective and so on and so on.
The objectives are kill x enemies in x time, collect x tears (drops in the zone), get x skulls (see skull section below), etc. You’ll see each objective when you enter in front of the rift portal.
To quickly advance, move your characters and have them idle at the rift. There’s several rift levels for afk experience and it’ll help for the class specific rifts to just have everyone you can be there.
From here you’ll unlock a new bonus every 5 rifts or so. The bonuses are:
- Rift 5: Auto Trap – Automatically collects traps once per day. Once you unlock this, the 20-hour trap becomes the most efficient if you’re not manually managing the traps.
- Rift 11: Infinite Star Signs – You get one infinite star sign per shiny pet. These give all the positives, none of the negatives. They unlock in a specific order.
- Rift 16: Skills Bonus – Various skills are upgraded along with other stats in the game. Absolutely needed to progress in the rift and a huge bonus overall.
- Rift 21: Eclipse Skull – You can now get 1 billion kill skulls in the Deathnote.
- Rift 26: Stamp Mastery – You get a chance at a gilded stamp, which you can save up. 95% reduction in resources.
- Rift 31: Eldritch Artifacts – See below, a third upgrade for artifacts.
- Rift 36: Vial Bonus – Alchemy vial upgrades.
- Rift 41: Construction Mastery
- Rift 46: Ruby Cards – Another level to cards.
Skulls
Sometimes you’ll get a skull rift. You have a chance to create a skull when you take out an enemy. Then if you take out a skull’d enemy, the skull will have a 50% chance to jump to another target or disappear. If it hits the target of the same type (same color), it will increase in level.
Basically, farm them with a Siege Breaker with no aoe skills on the bar. The higher the level the skull, the more skulls you’ll get. So it’s better to slowly attack them then AoE them all down. The SB has the ability to attack multiple floors too, helping speed things along and pirate flag to help speed up respawns.
I personally have found a lot of speed in skull collecting with a Wizard, just due to the # of enemies the portal spawns for me.
If you’re having damage issues on your siege breaker then don’t forget the speed stat. This is a big issue a lot of folks are running into.
Healing Bosses
These are raw DPS checks. Do them on your highest DPS characters.
Eldritch Artifacts
Below is a list of the Eldritch Artifacts and what they do:
- Moai Head: Increases the leveling up of all shrines by 200%.
- Maneki Kat: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Ruble Cuble: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Fauxory Tusk: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Gold Relic: Samples experience a growth rate of 2% for 60 days instead.
- Genie Lamp: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Silver Ankh: Completing post office orders gives a 50% chance of receiving an additional box.
- Emerald Relic: Provides a 1.60x increase in the number of gold bars obtained through conversion.
- Fun Hippoete: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Arrowhead: Increases the chances of obtaining rare chests by 1.50x.
- 10 AD Tablet: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Ashen Urn: Applies up to character level 600.
- Amberite: Affects an additional two bubbles per day.
- Triagulon: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Billcye Tri: Completing post office orders gives a 50% chance of receiving an additional box.
- Frost Relic: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Chilled Yarn: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Causticolumn: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Jade Rock: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Dreamcatcher: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Gummy Orb: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Fury Relic: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
- Cloud Urn: Completing post office orders gives a 50% chance of receiving an additional box.
- Weatherbook: The main bonus of this artifact is tripled.
