My time here at OCU has been up and down, I’ve had good times and bad times but overall if your a quiet person who likes peace and quiet and not many things going on this would be the perfect place!

Oakland City University is an amazing Christian Campus. I love it there. There is Chapel every Wednesday at 11am. The dorms are ok, especially the one that I am living in now. The other residence halls are amazing. Oakland City University has a softball team, men and women tennis, men and women basketball, cross country, and are getting a football team next semester.

Oakland City University is the most disgusting and discriminatory school I have ever encountered. This school uses religion as an excuse to infringe on the rights of the students, especially lgbtq students. They more often than not refuse to take student complaints into consideration when it comes to professors and how classrooms and grades are handled. The town of Oakland City is known to be home to many racists. Many of the universities foreign students experienced racism around and on campus and their complaints were rarely taken seriously. As someone who was on the student government where these issues were brought up, I saw first hand how quickly they were dismissed. However, whenever it was time for the holiday post cards, OCU loved to pick out the “diverse” students. I chose OCU because it was the only school I could afford. After having graduated, If I could go back and change my decision, I would have taken out as many loans as it took to receive my education elsewhere.
