  Very thick accent, quite hard to understand. He has a very bad attitude, is condescending, and would yell sometimes at students. Sometimes, he cracks jokes and acts nice, which makes some classes tolerable. His quizzes were a bit tough because he didn't really elaborate those topics in class or a bit irrelevant.

  Dr. Awad cares how student's do in the course. Go to office hours if you can. He IS helpful when you have questions about material and when you are in the process of applying and interviewing for graduate school programs. The course is relatively easy. Most of the material comes from ppt's, but he will tell you when you need to read the pdf.

  hes not a bad teacher overall. the quizzes are easy as long as you pay attention in class and read he lab manual. he has an accent but its not too strong. he's a fairly easy grader and will help you more if you participate or go to office hours. he genuinely wants you to pass and be successful but he can be rude at times

  NEVER TAKE DR. AWAD AT ANY COST!!! First of all, he has a huge attitude problem and is extremely rude and mean to students. He will lash out at you for asking the simplest question and then answer it in a very condescending way. He also would post homework assignments with no heads up, and then make them due 2 hours after posting them.

  I had Dr. Awad for microbiology 2015L. His class was fun, and he is a great lecturer. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS: he helps a lot! Study all his notes off the slides after the lecture and lab & make sure you do the data sheets in order to prepare for the midterm and final! Overall, he is a great professor and I am glad I had the opportunity to take him.

  He's not terrible. His attitude is kinda funny. Don't take what he says to heart. Wear your mask and don't act childish. The lab requires you to have a good lecture teacher so good luck with that. He teaches lab better over the summer. If you go to office hours, he'll love you.

  one of the worse professors i have ever had. he is indeed very knowledgeable about the subject however he goes on rants about information that isnt on the quizzes. he was very rude and inconsiderate to personal matters. he has a very heavy accent so he is hard to understand. the quizzes are easy for the most part as long as you study.

  If you care about your mental wellbeing & your GPA, please do not take Awad. His class is unnecessarily hard, especially the quizzes. He once yelled at my class for ten minutes about how we all failed his quiz. He also can be hard to understand most times because of his thick accent. By far the worst professor I've had at XULA and I've had plenty.

  Like most BIO classes it requires a lot of work. But Awad is very unorganized in the way he teaches, especially because of his thick accent. You must thoroughly pay attention in order to pass the class, even in a summer session. Be prepared to teach yourself or meet with the tutoring department

  If you value your sanity, DO NOT TAKE DR AWAD!!! He is very lazy and unorganized. In Bio 1240 Lab, he did not know what he was doing. He would post homework assignments online with no announcement and make them due the next day. He would also give vague instructions like "answer as many questions as possible." His tests have very confusing wording

  Dr Awad is not the best professor to take. I took this class and still made an A but I had to fight for that grade. he gives homework and doesn't grade it and in class he just can't teach you have to learn it on your own.

  He got mad a lot at us because He was having computer problems. He was very unorganized and he never was too clear about his criteria. His quizzes were all hard. I wouldn't take him again.

  Avoid taking his class, most of the time he doesnt tell you what you need to be doing for assignments. Our class was very confused every time we left for the day not knowing if we have homework, a quiz, or a group project to do. His accent is thick and when you ask questions or ask him to repeat something he catches an attitude.

  Taking Bio 1230 over the summer was the best decision I have ever made. He is not what everyone say he is. He really teaches his heart out to you and makes sure you understand the material, and comfortable during a test. He is very caring, but you must take notes and ask questions when you don't understand. His tests were very straight forward!!

  I took him over the summer for bio 2. Amazing guy, and did not expect him to turn out the way he did after hearing from other people. I worked hard for my A, and if I did it, you can too. You get what you give!

  DO NOT take Dr. Awad if you don't have to. I don't know how he is for lab but he's awful for lecture. You'll basically have to teach yourself the material. He'll yell at you in front of everyone for asking a question that he thinks is dumb. He'll purposefully put trick questions on his quizzes and tests. If you get stuck with him, GOOD LUCK FAM...

  He talks the ENTIRE class. His questions on quizzes are tough, not an easy A class at all. Need to study and work for it. He is a very caring person though and wants to see you succeed. He is always available for office hours. Just be prepared to listen for 3 hours and 10 minutes for the experiment. He also yells a lot sometimes.
